Learning Letter
I think that class was very insightful and taught me a lot about how I want to continue informing myself on different topics and strategies in education. It also has made me really think about all the teachers I've had and how I want to incorporate those experiences into my own teaching. What I feel like I've learned the most is how important it is to establish a community with the other teachers around me. I learned so much from my classmates and all the projects and presentations we did. I think learning about what makes a good reference text or what to look for in a classroom book was very helpful. the content portfolio project also really made me realize how much I value giving my students some autonomy and creativity in their lessons. I really learned the most about teaching visual literacy. To be honest I never really thought about people struggling to understand the visual aspect of graphic novels before this class.
